About This Trip
On this 14-day excursion, you will visit the most popular cities in Vietnam as well as Siem Reap in Cambodia. You will begin your tour in bustling Hanoi, where you will not only visit the chaotic old quarter but also experience a traditional Water Puppy Show. Then, after cruising the picturesque Halong Bay, you will reach the coastal city of Da Nang and the ancient port city of Hoi An. Explore Ho Chi Minh's history and take a leisurely float down the Mekong Delta before concluding your journey among the ancient temples of Angkor in Cambodia.

Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi
As soon as you arrive in Hanoi, you'll be met by your private tour guide holding the My Odyssey Tours welcome sign at the airport, and escorted to the hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day recovering from the long-haul flight or start your exploration in the city.

Day 2: Hanoi
After breakfast, begin your trip through a cluster of historic sites including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh House on Stilt, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo prison and Temple of Literature.
Visit the Museum of Ethnology and then get on a rickshaw exploring the local cultural atmosphere of the Old Quarter. Finally, you will get to the serene Hoan Kiem Lake for a tour to Ngoc Son Temple. In the evening, watch an intriguing water puppet show.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Have a scenic drive (about 3 hours) to Halong Bay. After getting to the dock, you'll go on board to check in to your private cabin. Dotted with sandy coves, grottos and thousands of limestone islands, in Halong Bay you'll find yourself surrounded by intoxicating landscapes and mysterious caves. Relax under a sky full of stars and enjoy a romantic night.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An
Today, get up early to catch the first sunlight on the deck, and try learning the unique exercise of Tai Chi. Stop for a pearl farm, where you will know about the production process of pearls. After that, you will enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast while taking in the fascinating sceneries, and then check out and get off the cruise. You will be escorted to airport to board the flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to Hoi An for hotel check-in.

Day 5: Hoi An
In the morning, start your exploration of this small town with Japanese Bridge, the beautifully kept Vietnamese former merchants' houses, where you can find various little treasures inside the house. Pay a visit to a local craftsman's home in the town's old street, learning how the lantern is made with a lantern making lesson given by the craftsman. The works you've made can be kept by you as a souvenir.

Day 6: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue
After breakfast, drive to Hue, on the way of which you will capture the fascinating scene of the coast and Da Nang when driving to the top of the Hai Van Pass. Have a stop in Da Nang and pay a visit to the Non Nuoc Beach for a stroll in the Cham Museum to see the interesting stone sculptures, and admire the spectacular view of the renowned Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hue in the afternoon.

Day 7: Hue
In the morning, explore the Minh Mang Tomb, a well preserved complex cultural heritage renowned for its architecture and sublime forest setting. After that, you'll board a royal dragon boat sailing down the Perfume River to the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. After that, have an easy amble at the Imperial Citadel and visit the Forbidden Purple City, where you are going to explore the treasures of this country's royal past. At last, walk at the Dong Ba Market for a pleasant closure.

Day 8: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City
In the morning, head for the airport to fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, your driver will drive you to your hotel for check-in and you can spend the rest of the day on your own.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, visit the immense network of underground tunnels at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Continue to search for some interesting local handicrafts as well as some special cuisine at the Ben Thanh market. Take a city tour to the War Remnats Museum, Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace), Old Saigon Post Office and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat) within walking distance.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City
Today, you'll set out for a unique one day Mekong Delta tour. Board a boat sailing down the Ham Luong River, immersing yourself in the coconut plants and the fresh air along the way. Stop at a coconut workshop to learn about the process of coconut production. And then visit a local family, having a food cooking lesson that given by the owners, and enjoy lunch with the family. After that, you'll have some extra time exploring the area nearby, and then head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12: Siem Reap
After breakfast, visit the magnificent Angkor Thom, the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. From there you will tour Bayon Temple and Elephant Terrace.
In the afternoon, head for the famous Angkor Wat, the world's biggest religious monument. You can catch the sunset view of this mysterious wonder from Bakheng Temple in a distant jungle, which is your next site that follows the Angkor Wat.

Day 13: Siem Reap
Today, you can choose to get up early for the fascinating sunrise of Angkor Wat or not, and you can enjoy your breakfast at the hotel or take it away. The next attraction is Banteay Srei Temple with some local villages en route. At Banteay Srei Temple, you'll observe the elaborate decorative wall carvings.
Continue visiting Ta Prohm Temple, which features trees growing out of the ruins, and the Ta Keo Temple, which are also a sandstone-built wonders of Cambodia.
