With little experience booking tours online was skeptical but decided to lodge enquiry which was answered promptly by Ms. Foring. Nothing was too much bother and in no time our itinerary was customed to suit. From start to finish we were not disappointed - our first full day we visited Buddha Park, Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge before lunch and stroll around City sites. Our guide introduced us to Khop Chai Deu an awesome eating experience which we visited again! After a free day to explore Vientiane the amazing Mr Ded arrived for overland trip to Vang Vieng. The scenery on route was sensational and driver a real star! After booking in headed to enjoy tubing along Song River included in tour - an experience not to miss ☺and later enjoyed relaxed meal in town. Following day overland to Luang Prabang visiting Tham Jang Caves on route. The service received from both guides and drivers was first class, accommodation at Salana Boutique and Riverside Resort outstanding and great spots included for lunches along the way. Although our trip finished on arrival in Luang Prabang Mr Ded went extra mile and took us up Wat Phousi to enjoy the stunning views. We would 100% recommend this company to everyone - wonderful friendly caring people who all played a part in making our trip to Laos very special, Ms Foring your tip to dine at Tamarind - excellent! Thanks to all!
Alick Peng at Odyssey did a great job via extensive email correspondence trying to understand our wants and then devising a programme to suit. The day tour in Hoi An was a huge success. The people he lined up to guide and serve us were terrific. Loved Guide Tuan's tour of the old town, lunch was excellent and the afternoon visit to the vegetable farm was huge fun. The pancake cooking lessons were fun too. Everything went smoothly despite the very hot weather and the Odyssey people were all friendly and fun. Great value.
The trip was well organized and planned, the timing was perfect, and the cost was just right. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was easily seen that he loves his country and his job!! I would recommend this trip to anybody who plans on visiting Vietnam.

Odyssey facilitated our first trip to Asia. Not only were their suggestions dead on, but the guide they provided was the best guide we have ever had! We have found that private guides are the best way to get the most out of each country we visit. The hotel that was suggested to us, was the Metropole as we asked for 5 star. They not only suggested the best hotel for us, but encouraged us to book the historic wing which made all the difference in the world. Our adult daughter traveled with us and at the last minute wanted a day tour to Halong Bay, and by the next morning, Odyssey's guide, had the boat and transportation ready and off to Halong Bay they went. Truly, an exceptional experience for her. I suggest one day tour to Halong Bay, instead of the Junk boats as we heard from fellow travelers that you can have poor experiences. My husband and I are older, so went to tailors while our daughter went to Halong Bay and back in the same day and was beyond thrilled with the whole experience!! If you do a private or semi-private tour, you can bypass all the stops that the regular guides do for buying trinkets. That way, you go right to Halong and have more time for kayaking and cave touring.

This company helped us design a truly perfect month in Vietnam. We identified cities/areas we were interested in; they suggested others and reasons. We jointly decided how long in each place. They found terrific hotels, restaurants, drivers and English speaking guides who knew so much about every place we went, including temples, parks, caves, museums. We used boats of all types on little and big rivers. Went fishing, swimming, hiking, biking and more. I can't say enough good about this company. Everything was perfect, not one logistical misstep. Guides helped with medical needs, e.g place for blood tests, translated where we needed it. If I hadn't already traveled in the other countries they support, I'd be planning another trip with them pronto. I can recommend them without reservation, something I can't do with any other tour company we've used, and there are many good ones. the trip was very reasonably priced and we were in 4 star hotels and ate wonderfully.
