Day 1: Arrival, Ho Chi Minh City
Say hello to Vietnam! Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to recover from jet lag and prepare for tomorrow's trip.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City
In the morning, head to Hoc Mon district and explore Cu Chi Tunnels which included the specially constructed living areas helping those who lived inside the tunnels meet their basic needs during war time. In the afternoon, a walking tour of Opera House, Town Hall and Reunification Palace from the Saigon River provides the contrast of the city's past and present. Next, visit the famous Ben Thanh Market, which is always loaded with varieties of goods such as consumer goods and food.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho
Head for My Tho to get on a boat trip up on Tien River and visit My Tho Fish Market and four islands. Later on, take a cart ride along a beautiful village to Mr. Muoi Hai's house for tasting the honey tea. You can also row on a sampan along Mekong River. In the afternoon, transfer to Can Tho by a private vehicle and the rest of the day is your own leisure time.

Day 4: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City - Hue
Today, you will take a boat ride through the narrow channels of the Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market. Then back to Ho Chi Minh City for your flight to Hue. Upon your arrival, your guide will greet you and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to have a good rest.

Day 5: Hue
In the morning, start your visit to Tomb of King Ming Mang which is the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen dynasty. Then, cross the Perfume River on a Royal Dragon Boat and dive into the scene of ancient feudality, Thien Mu Pagoda. Later, enjoy a visit to the Imperial Citadel and tour the Forbidden Purple City, once the Emperor's private residence. Finally, take in the local culture at Dong Ba Market.

Day 6: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Today, traverse the spectacular Hai Van Pass with a photo stop at the top and have an expansive view of Da Nang. En route to Da Nang, have a look at the famous Non Nuoc Beach and visit Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Then, continue your way to Hoi An. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and the rest of the day is for you to relax.

Day 7: Hoi An
Take a walking tour to visit the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, Chinese Temple and former Vietnamese merchants' houses. Your guide will share all the historical stories of these places with you. After that, hop on a boat along the Huai River to Thanh Ha Pottery Village where you can learn about pottery making and the daily activities of Thanh Ha people. Further up the river, you will get to see an authentic life of local people.

Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hanoi
Transfer to Da Nang and fly to Hanoi in the afternoon. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and the rest of the day is free for you to spare.

Day 9: Hanoi
Enjoy a morning city tour to visit some of the city's attractions including the fascinating Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh House on stilt, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. Next, you'll head to the interesting Museum of Ethnology. Take a rickshaw along the Old Quarter, home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. After that, explore with plenty of photo opportunities around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy a water puppet show, a unique and famous traditional performance in Vietnam.
Note: The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is not opened on Fridays and Mondays, and most museums are not opened on Mondays.

Day 10: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Today, head to Halong Bay by car (around 3 hours) and embark on the cruise. The cruise passes by many gorgeous rocks and islets with different beautiful shapes. Time spent anchored for a swim or optional kayaking is available.

Day 11: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Luang Prabang
Rise to the tranquil beauty of the bay, dive in the water and watch the spectacular sunrise on sea followed by brunch. This morning, you'll continue to explore the bay to find more secluded areas. After that, your guide and driver will wait for you at the pier and drive you to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and have a good rest.

Day 12: Luang Prabang
Today, embark on a leisure cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which will give you a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside. Reach the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. On the way, stop at the villages of Ban Xieng Lek and Ban Xang Khong, where local people make drums and weaving paper. Ascend Mount Phousi for a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. The night market is where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles.

Day 13: Luang Prabang
In the early morning, take part in the daily morning alms giving procession of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of alms from the faithful residents. After that, see the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground and the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun. Pay a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. Later on, cool off the day at the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls dropping into spectacular azure pools before flowing downstream.

Time to say goodbye! You're free at leisure before your guide accompanies you to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
