About This Trip
Traveling from Thailand to Cambodia and Vietnam, this 18-day journey will take you to visit some of Southeast Asia's most well-known attractions. Begin your tour in vibrant Bangkok with visits to its major sites including the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. Then, after a tour of the Ayutthaya Historical Park, you will fly to Siem Reap to explore the Angkor archaeological sites. Spend the next 12 days in Vietnam. Beginning in Ho Chi Minh City and concluding in Hanoi , Vietnam's highlights include the Mekong Delta, the Cai Rang Floating Market, the imperial city of Hue, the ancient port city of Hoi An, the chaotic Hanoi old quarter, and an impressive Halong Bay cruise.

Day 1: International Arrival, Bangkok
Welcome to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will pick you up to your hotel. The rest of the day is for you to recover from the jet lag.

Day 2: Bangkok
Today, you will explore the highlights of vibrant Bangkok. Start your trip from a colorful flower and vegetable market to glimpse authentic local life. Following will be the majestic Grand Palace, a must-see in Thailand. Next, you will explore Wat Phra Kaew (the Emerald Buddha), a significant Buddhist temple in Thailand.
After lunch, take a long-tail boat ride along the canal to see Thai houses and typical rural life. During the boat ride, you will also admire the beauty of Wat Arun. Your boat ride tour will be ended near Wat Po.

Day 3: Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok
Today, step back in time and enjoy a tour of the historical city of Ayutthaya to visit temples, ancient ruins, Buddha images, and the historical park, including the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and Wat Yai Chai Mongkhol.
Later, take a pleasant boat trip sailing down the Chao Phraya River back to Bangkok, during which you can enjoy a buffet lunch.

Day 4: Bangkok - Siem Reap
In the morning, fly to Siem Reap. Check in and have a short rest after arrival. In the afternoon, enjoy a trip to a floating village Kompong Phluk standing on Tonle Sap Lake that is the largest lake in South East Asia and changes in size and dimension every wet season. After that, get back to Siem Reap and enjoy a leisure evening.

Day 5: Siem Reap
Enjoy tour to Angkor Thom and pay a visit to the grand Bayon Temple and the impressive Elephant Terraces inside.
After lunch, head for the World Heritage site of Angkor Wat which is so synonymous with Cambodia that it is featured on the national flag. Continue to Bakheng Hill known for being the best spot for sunset watching over Angkor Wat.

Day 6: Siem Reap
If you would like to take an early morning trip to Angkor Wat for the sunrise, you can also have the chance to talk with the monks and nuns at a nearby pagoda. Breakfast either at hotel or take away is available.
Spend some time visiting a few local villages en route before reaching Banteay Srei Temple, which contains the finest, most intricate carvings to be found in Angkor. Proceed to the impressive Ta Prohm Temple and Ta Keo Temple later.

Day 7: Siem Reap - Ho Chi Minh City
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City in late morning. After arrival, your guide will take you to visit Ben Thanh Market where you can take a close look at local people's life before heading for your hotel.
After lunch, tour the War Remnants Museum and then move to the Reunification Palace and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The following Old Saigon Post Office and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat) are within walking distance.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City
Discover Cao Dai Temple this morning, a unique architectural style that reflects its blended traditions. In the afternoon, proceed to the historic site Cu Chi Tunnels and challenge yourself by crawling through small tunnels. The immense network of connecting underground tunnels is absolutely an important part of Vietnam's long independence struggle. You will explore the tunnel system, walk around the forest and watch a war documentary. Return to your hotel and have a relaxation with a stunning sunset.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho
Drive to My Tho which is gateway to the Mekong Delta. Take a boat trip along Mekong River and continue to Can Tho. After arrival, relax yourself at the hotel or discover nearby areas on your own.

Day 10: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City - Hue
Take a trip to Cai Rang Floating Market with a boat cruise along Mighty Mekong River. The market starts around 05:00 am and running until around midday, which means you will have to get an early start if you want to visit. After that, you will visit the Bun Tau Noodle Factory.
Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City for your flight to Hue.

Day 11: Hue
Firstly, admire the majestic Tomb of King Minh Mang renowned for its architecture and sublime forest setting. Sail the Perfume River by a royal dragon boat to the peaceful Thien Mu Pagoda. Later, transfer to the Imperial Citadel and stroll around the Forbidden Purple City built for Nguyen Dynasty and the entire city is surrounded by a 10-kilometers moat and 10 gates. End today's sightseeing at the bustling Dong Ba Market where you can find several typical local specialties.

Day 12: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Drive to Hoi An in the morning. On the way, stop for a tour to Non Nuoc Beach which has gentle slope, mild waves, and purely blue sea water during the four seasons. And then visit Cham Museum, the largest collection of Cham sculpture and artwork in the world; Marble Mountain is a group of five marble and limestone mountains.
Have lunch at a local restaurant in Da Nang. After your arrival in Hoi An in the afternoon, explore the city by yourself or have a rest at your hotel.

Day 13: Hoi An
Hoi An is an ancient town with more than 2,000-year history. Explore Japanese Covered Bridge whose graceful curve is nothing short of pure art. Later, continue to visit a Chinese temple and the Vietnamese former merchants' houses. In the afternoon, take a boat ride along the Hoai River to Thanh Ha Pottery Village to see potteries being made in traditional method. The evening is for you to discover the charming town on your own.

Day 14: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hanoi
Feel free to enjoy the time in Hoi An in the morning before leaving for the airport in Da Nang and fly to Hanoi. After arrival, you can stroll in and around Hanoi's Old Quarter after arrival. The commerce here started hundreds of years ago and consisted mostly of family businesses. You will have a personalized experience during this walking tour of Hanoi's best street food areas.

Day 15: Hanoi
This morning, spend some leisure time on Ba Dinh Square. Later, visit the nearby Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam.
After lunch, proceed to Hanoi Hilton (also called Hoa Lo Prison). Learn about the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam by rich collections of objects, photos, video tapes and cassettes at Museum of Ethnology. In the evening, enjoy an interesting water puppet show, a favorite experience for all visitors to Vietnam.
Note: The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is not opened on Fridays and Mondays, and most museums are not opened on Mondays.

Day 16: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Start a 3-hour drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. The next one and a half days will be an exploration at the Halong Bay cruise. The area includes over 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. You will have chance to experience some optional activities such as kayaking, swimming, diving, etc.

Day 17: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Today, continue to enjoy your unforgettable Halong Bay cruise with a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars before disembarking the cruise before noon. Your guide and driver will escort you back to Hanoi from the pier. Arrive at the hotel in the afternoon and enjoy the rest time of the day on your own.
