Andalusian Morocco: Tangier, Fez & Rabat

Upon your arrival, our local driver guide will pick you up at the exit of the airport and escort you to the hotel. The remaining of the day is free for you to relax.

The guided tour will take you along the beach to enjoy what the city is famed for, including the Kasbah, the tomb of Ibn Battouta- a 14th century famous traveler who was born in Tangier, Teatro Cervantes, the Grand Socco. the American Legation, the Tangier American Legation Museum with its Paul Bowles Wing dedicated to the writer and composer who lived most of his adult life in Tangier, and the Kasbah Museum, the former Sultan's palace deserves to be seen not only for its collection of artifacts from the Phoenician to modern times, but also for the building and garden. Free afternoon to discover what Tangier has to offer. 

After having breakfast in the hotel, depart to Chefchaouen through Tetouan. A stop is planned in the city of Tetouan. All the neighborhoods of Tetouan belong to three different architectural styles: The Andalusian style (Medina), the Spanish style of the early and mid-twentieth century (Ensanche) and the after independence style (peripheral neighborhoods). Each style includes variations more or less important in relation to the evolution of styles and materials. After the tour in Tetouan, continue the drive to the blue Chefchaouen.

Your afternoon tour here includes the Outa-el-Hammam square, the cobblestone medina and the Grand Mosque.

After breakfast, private transfer to Fez, during the way, you will explore the famed Ismailia ancient capital Meknes. Step into the Bab Mansour, which is the entrance to the Imperial city proper, where a visit to the sultan's mausoleum and The Place El-Hedime are still an interest. Allow at least two hours to discover the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Stroll through the important pilgrimage town Moulay Idriss Zerhoun before driving to Fez for overnight.

After breakfast you will begin your guided tour to the Fez Medina, a perfect introduction for your trip in Morocco. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. Continue your visit to the UNESCO site - the University of al-Qarawiyyin, the El-Attarine and Bou Inania Madrasa.

In the morning, you will departure via the Highway to Rabat (about 2 hours drive). Your full day guided tour in this imperial city includes the "new town" (built at the beginning of the French protectorate in Morocco), the Kasbah Ouddayas, the Testing garden, the medina ramparts and Almohad gates, Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V mausoleum and Habous neighborhood near Diour Jamaa. Farewell dinner at Dar Naji restaurant. 

Enjoy a free morning before heading to the airport of Casablanca for home bound flight.
