Day 1: Welcome to Beijing
Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China. You'll meet your guide at the airport with a name plate in hand when you arrive and the guide will take you to the hotel. You can have the rest of the day to recover from jet lag or get used to the surroundings.

Day 2: Beijing
In the morning, you'll first visit the Tiananmen Square, the national symbol of China and the largest square in the world. Later, pass the square on your way to the Forbidden City, the imperial palace for the 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
In the afternoon, take a Hutong tour by a rickshaw to get a sight of another facet of Beijing. Later, enjoy walking leisurely along the Houhai (back sea) bar street.
Optional: In the evening, we recommend a famous Chinese Kung Fu Show as an optional activity for you to know more about the Chinese martial arts.

Day 3: Beijing
Today, visit the Great Wall (Mutianyu Section), one of the eight greatest wonders of the world and a defensive structure with a history of over 2,000 years. The grand Great Wall winds by way of the lofty mountains and mighty rivers. Later, take a leisure walk at the Sacred Road where you can see a stone memorial arch, the Great Red Gate, a stele pavilion, stone statues and the Dragon and Phoenix Gate, which will tell you interesting stories of emperors' expectation for their afterlife.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an
In the morning, explore the Temple of Heaven, the most complete existing imperial sacrificial building complex in China for offering sacrifice to heaven in the past. Visit the Longing Pearl Store before transfering to Xi'an by a high-speed train. Upon your arrival, your guide will pick you up and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to take a rest.

Day 5: Xi'an
Today, visit the lifelike Terracotta Warriors to have a glimpse of the legacy left by Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor of China, who created it as part of his mausoleum. It's estimated that over 8,000 clay soldiers, horses, chariots were buried in battle formation. Followed is a visit to a Jade Gallery. In the afternoon, wandering around or cycling on the magnificent Ancient City Wall will be an unforgettable experience. You can have a bird's eye view of the city from the Wall.
Optional: In the evening, a Tang Dynasty Show depicting the peak time of China's Tang Dynasty is highly recommended.

Day 6: Xi'an - Lhasa
Today, you will take your flight to Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet. On arrival, your guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel (about 1.5 hours' drive). The rest of the day is free for you to have some rest or explore the local areas.

Day 7: Lhasa
Today's visit will start with the Potala Palace, one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in the world, to explore the stately chapels and learn about the history of the palace. You will then get to the 1,300-year-old Jokhang Temple, the most revered religious structure and the holiest Buddhist monastery in Tibet. Later, take a walk at the famous Barkhor Street. The circular and wide street encircles the Jokhang Temple where local people like to walk around as a daily tradition of pilgrimage.

Day 8: Lhasa
In the morning, you'll firstly tour the beautiful Norbulingka Park which used to be the summer palace of Dalai Lamas. Next, visit Drepung Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Tibet with more than 10,000 monks lived and studied in the monastery in the old time. Your tour will end with a visit to Sera Monastery, one of the three famous temples in Tibet dating back to 1419. The spectacular "Buddhism Debating" held there is truly a highlight in the monastery.

Day 9: Lhasa - Chengdu
Today is free for your own exploration before your guide transfers you to the airport in time for your flight to Chengdu. On arrival, your guide will pick you up and accompany you to the hotel. The rest of the time is your own free time to rest.

Day 10: Chengdu
Today, at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding you can watch closely the giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, and climbing trees. Next, you'll be taken to Wenshu Temple, the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Cultural relics are one of the highlights of the temple with many paintings and pieces of calligraphy on display. You'll head to the famous Jinli Old Street then, which is full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, and interesting folk shows. Later, you can enjoy a cup of tea at a tea house to get a deeper understanding of the tea-drinking history of Chengdu.
Optional: Face changing is the highlight of Sichuan Opera and we highly recommend it for you to enjoy the show in the evening.

Day 11: Chengdu - Shanghai
In the morning, your guide will escort you to visit Huanglongxi Ancient Town to view its famous incredible calcified scenery. With a history of over 1,700 years, the ancient town is a great place to explore the ancient folk customs. After that, your guide will take you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai.

Day 12: Shanghai
Your tour of Shanghai will begin with the Shanghai Museum. Continue to the Jiangnan Silk Workshop, where the process of making silk from a cocoon will amaze you. As a typical ancient Chinese garden dating back to 400 years, Yu Garden is a place which cannot miss. Close by is the Yuyuan Market, one of the best places to get a feel of local life.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Bund. Enjoy the view of the old European style buildings on one side and the modern buildings on the other. The last stop is the Former French Section, where you can have a relaxing walk and experience the old Shanghai.
Optional: In the evening, a wonderful Acrobatics Show is recommended as a nice night-out.
