About This Trip

Spend 10 days seeing China and visiting some of the country's most fascinating cities. Shanghai is the perfect place to start your trip you can get a feel for the modern Chinese metropolis there. Next, you'll hop on a flight to Guilin in southern China to see another face of China. Take a leisurely cruise down the Li River and experience rural life in Yangshuo. After that, explore the Terracotta Warriors and the Ancient City Wall in Xi'an. Your trip will end in Beijing. You'll visit the city's top attractions, including Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and Great Wall.

Itinerary

Day 1: International Arrival, Shanghai
Upon arrival in Shanghai, meet your private guide and driver for an airport transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is for you to relax and recover from jet lag.

Day 2: Shanghai
Explore the city with Shanghai Museum as the first stop, where you can learn a relatively artistic history dating back from the Middle Kingdom to the 20th century BC. Continue the tour with a stroll at Yu Garden and taste local snacks at Yuyuan Market nearby. Go to a silk workshop to know more about how China's famous silk product is processed. Next, head to Former French Concession and Xintiandi area where shows the combination of old and modern Shanghai.
Optional: In the evening, watching the impressive Acrobatics Show will give you an unforgettable memory.

Day 3: Shanghai - Guilin
After breakfast, you will have some free time to explore on your own. Strolling down the Bund along the Huangpu River is a must for all travelers. You can also ascend the Jin Mao Building to overlook the whole Lujiazui, a super vibrant area, which is Shanghai's most attractive landmark. Then, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Guilin. Your guide will take a pick-up card with your name written on it and wait for your arrival.

Day 4: Guilin - Yangshuo
After breakfast, leave for Zhujiang Pier to start a cruise along the Li River to Yangshuo, during which you will marvel at the picturesque views of peaks and pinnacles, which are must-sees of Guilin. You will enjoy your lunch on board. When arriving at Yangshuo, you will have a walk in West Street before going to your hotel for check-in.
Optional: This evening, it is highly recommended to watch Impression of Sanjie Liu, a magnificent landscape subject-live performance.

Day 5: Guilin - Xi'an
This morning, drive back to Guilin to continue the city tour. You will take a visit to Reed Flute Cave and a pearl museum before transferring to the airport for your next journey of discovery in Xi'an. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and escort you to your hotel.

Day 6: Xi'an
In the morning, start your tour to one of the biggest wonders in the world, Terracotta Warriors and Horses, where you can see more than 8,000 painted life-size warriors and over 500 horses in battle formations. Stop at the Art Ceramics Factory for an insight into how those ancient statues were made. Then, you will go back to the city area and enjoy a stroll through the Muslim Quarter and visit the Great Mosque.

Day 7: Xi'an - Beijing
This morning, you will walk along the foot of the city wall, get a chance to see a local morning market and the locals doing morning exercise, and more. Afterward, take a high-speed train to Beijing. On arrival, be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel.

Day 8: Beijing
After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square and then the Forbidden City, whose palace consists of 9,999 rooms across 72 hectares, surrounded by a six-meter-deep moat and a ten-meter wall. Next, enjoying a panoramic view of the Forbidden City from Jingshan Park is an unbeatable experience.
After lunch, continue to the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors used to worship the heavens, and now it is a leisure center for the nearby residents.

Day 9: Beijing
The Great Wall is a must-see for travelers at home and abroad. Today, you will admire the magnificent Great Wall at the Mutianyu section, one of the eight wonders in the world. Walk on the wall to appreciate the breathtaking fortifications and the surrounding scenery. After that, stop at a Jade Gallery and ramble along the Sacred Road which starts from the stone memorial archway and ends at the gate of the Chang Mausoleum.

Today will be the end of your China tour. Your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
