My Odyssey Tours is proud to be the first Chinese supporter of ChildSafe, a Movement actively protecting children and youth. This is a further step that we enhance our corporate social responsibility project - My Odyssey Tours Cares.
Together with the United Nations Convention, ChildSafe Movement was established in 2005, aiming to improve the quality and impact of marginalized children and youth. Thanks to its campaigns, over 9 million people are aware of the importance of the issue, and more than 100,000 children benefit from the Movement.
My Odyssey Tours is a supporter of ChildSafe Movement in China.
Now, we have hundreds of staff both at home and abroad. Apart from promoting ChildSafe to our guests, we also get our staff ChildSafe certified and participate in children protection. And of course, there's more we can do in the future.
Actually, we've already been engaged in the protection before being the supporter of ChildSafe. Since we started to launch our CSR project, our staff has brought a great number of supplies to the schools in need during business trips to some underdeveloped areas in Southeast Asia and South Asia. Our footprints have been found in many destinations, such as Myanmar, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Bhutan.
We brought many sports equipment to the Central Monastic Primary School in Bhutan and took a photo with these lovely students before leaving.
We had a great time with the children in Angunukolwawewa School in Udawalawe, Sri Lanka.
"We are honored to be the first supporter of ChildSafe in China, and it speaks for our child-friendly service," Lois Li, Marketing Manager at My Odyssey Tours, said: "As a responsible tour operator with over 10-year experience, we know that we play an important role in protecting children and youth globally. We also hope more and more companies and individuals will get involved in the Movement. For us, this is one of the best ways to practice the core value of My Odyssey Tours Cares - being responsible."
My Odyssey Tours Cares is a non-profit project, aiming to make a difference to destinations that people live in and travellers visit. Its themes cover many aspects, including Animal & Environment, Community Development, Disaster Relief, as well as Education & Life.
Lois added, "We put Education & Life as the starter of our CSR project. In the coming year, we'll make an extension to Community Development and help more people in need."
