Day 1: Arrival, Yangon
Say hello to Myanmar! Upon your arrival, your guide will pick you up at the airport and accompany you to the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to recover from jet lag and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Yangon
Today you'll delve into a world of sparkling temples and ancient Buddhist history. Start with a visit to Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple, home to a 70meter long reclining Buddha, and the glittering Sule Pagoda, the holiest traffic island in the world. Next, the tour goes to Maha Bandula Park where you can see the Independence Monument. After that, wander the streets of India town and China town to check out the old colonial period architectures. Proceed to the Bogyoke Aung San Market (formerly Scott's Market) to hunt for some nice souvenirs. Continue to the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar whose golden spire dominates the city skyline. Later, enjoy your dinner on Kandawgyi Lake at a hamsa-bird-shaped floating barge.

Day 3: Yangon - Bagan
Take your flight to Bagan in the morning and get right into exploring the city after arrival. You'll first go to the Nyaung U Market to learn about the local daily life. Continue with a visit to the golden stupa of the Shwezigon Pagoda to learn Bagan's rich history. Visit the Kyanzittha Umin nearby, a small cave temple with frescoes on the interior corridors, and the elegant Htilominlo Temple known for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. Continue to the Ananda Temple, from which get to Thatbyinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to a traditional lacquer-ware workshop and observe the production of one of Myanmar's best-known handicrafts. After that is Manuha Temple, around whose corner is Nanpaya Temple, followed by the Gubyaukgyi Temple whose The interior walls and ceilings are decorated with fragments of ancient mural paintings. Later on, watch the sunset at one of the viewing mounds.

Day 4: Bagan - Mount Popa - Bagan
Today, travel to Mount Popa, which is a place of great importance to the Burmese as they believe that it is the home of 37 Nats, ancient Burmese animist spirits. Upon reaching the top, relax and enjoy the views. Return to Bagan and visit the Sulamani Temple and Dhammayangyi Temple.

Day 5: Bagan - Mandalay
Leave for Mandalay by plane in the morning. Upon arrival, head down to the Mahamuni Pagoda, home to one of the country's most revered Buddha images. Later, observe the producing process of gold-leaf beating where the technique remained unchanged from centuries ago.
In the afternoon, admire the three pagodas near Mandalay Hill: Shwenandaw Kyaung, the last wooden Royal Palace surviving to the present day, Kuthodaw Pagoda, the world's largest book, and the Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda known as the pagoda of the Great Marble Image. You will enjoy the unique sunset view on the Mandalay Hill if the weather is good.

Day 6: Mandalay - Amarapura - Mandalay
Today, kick off with a visit to Amarapura, Myanmar's penultimate royal capital. Later, watch thousands of monks dining together and learn about how local people help out at the Mahagandayon Monastery. Later, visit City Harbor Bridge and then pay a visit to a nunnery to get to know how nuns live and study in their daily life. After that, we will proceed to the Sagaing Hill to have a panoramic view of the beautiful city. Once the sun starts to set, stroll along the legendary U Bein Bridge and enjoy the very special atmosphere as the late afternoon sun casts long shadows and illuminates the local people heading home.

Day 7: Mandalay - Heho - Inle Lake
Fly to Heho and head to Inle Lake. Check in to the hotel and take a short break. After lunch, take a boat trip around the Inle Lake to watch one-leg rowers fishing. A fisherman stands on one leg on the extreme of the boat and wraps another leg around the oar. Later, proceed to Nampan Village and view various floating gardens. After that, get back to the hotel and enjoy your free time.

Day 8: Inle Lake
Today, discover the Indein Village and Indein Pagoda Complex built in the 12th century by King Ashoka. Proceed to the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake's main haven, which contains five sacred images of Buddhas decorated in gold leaf. You will also visit Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, which houses loads of early Shan Buddha Images. There are also many traditional crafts originated from Inle Lake, should you wish, you can stop for a visit to a hand weaving performance to conclude today's trip.
Note: The annual grand festival of Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda is held in late Sep. or early Oct.

Day 9: Inle Lake - Heho - Thandwe - Ngapali Beach
Get to Heho to take your flight to Thandwe (about 50 minutes). Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and take you to the hotel at Ngapali Beach. The rest of the day is for you to spare on the soft sand and bath in the sun.

Day 10: Ngapali Beach
Enjoy your leisure time at Ngapali Beach. There are plenty of things to do. Swimming, snorkeling and scuba-diving are very popular as the water here offers crystal-clear visibility and plenty of colorful marine life to observe and enjoy.

Day 11: Ngapali Beach
Continue to enjoy your relaxing time. Enjoy swimming in the warm and clear waters or sunbathing while watching local fishermen bring their catch to shore.

Day 12: Ngapali Beach
Continue to enjoy a full free day. Besides sun bathing and swimming, you can go snorkeling to admire the underwater world with lots of tropical colorful fish, or get around independently by bicycle.

Transfer to Thandwe for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up and accompany you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to do as you please.
