Day 1: Arrival, Yangon
Welcome to Yangon! Have a short rest before a visit to the Sule Pagoda. You will then have a great opportunity to observe local people worship when exploring Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple. Later, move to Kandawgyi Lake and enjoy a royal floating barge sightseeing on the beautiful lake.
After lunch, continue a visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of Buddhism's most sacred sites. Be amazed when the golden stupa flames crimson and burnt orange in the setting sun.

Day 2: Yangon - Bago - Golden Rock
In the morning, start a 1.5 hours' drive to Bago. After arrival, stroll around a local market before going to the reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha and Kyaikpun Pagoda.
In the afternoon, you will head for Kimpun Village by car to visit the Kyaithiyo Pagoda also known as the Golden Rock, a small pagoda built at the top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted.

Day 3: Golden Rock - Yangon
Enjoy taking some photos from a distance to get different views of the Golden Rock before getting back to Yangon (approx. 5.5 hours by road). On the way, stop at Taukkyan War Cemetery where more than 6,000 soldiers who lost their lives in the Second World War were buried. After arriving in Yangon, just enjoy the rest of the day to relax by yourself.

Day 4: Yangon - Heho - Inle Lake
In the morning, fly to Heho and continue to reach NyaungShwe, the gateway to Inle Lake. Upon arrival, you will first get to Nga Phe Chaung Monastery and then easily reach Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most highly revered monastery in the area.
In the afternoon, visit Inpawkhone Village and a cheroot factory to explore how the typical Burmese cigars are made. If time permits, enjoy a short walk through one of the lakeside villages.

Day 5: Inle Lake - Indein - Inle Lake
After breakfast, take a boat to Indein Village, travelling through a long narrow channel where you can have a glimpse of floating villagers' vivid life. The village located on the west bank of Inle Lake is best known for its two groups of ancient pagodas and the market. This afternoon, visit a local blacksmiths workshop, a boat making place and some floating gardens.

Day 6: Inle Lake - Heho - Mandalay
Transfer to Heho for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up from airport to your hotel.
You will first visit Kuthodaw Pagoda and then continue to Shwenandaw Monastery. Lastly, climb up to the top of Mandalay Hill to enjoy a wonderful view over the city to the south. And if both the time and weather allow, you can also watch the sunset over the Irrawaddy River to the west.

Day 7: Mandalay
Today, head for Amarapura and join in the daily meal at Mahagandayon Monastery together with over 1,000 monks. Later, you will go to Ava for a glimpse of Bagaya Monastery, the Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery and Htihlaing Shin Paya Pagoda. In the afternoon, cross the Irrawaddy River from the bridge and get to Sagaing Hill. A great time to visit U Bein Bridge is just after sunrise when hundreds of villagers and monks commute back and forth across it.

Day 8: Mandalay - Bagan
In the morning, admire the Mahamuni Buddha Temple, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Burma.
This afternoon, pay a visit to Mandalay Palace and Fort with all buildings of the palace of one storey in height. Later, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Bagan. On your arrival, a local guide will escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is for you to relax.

Day 9: Bagan
Start with a morning stroll through the lively Nyaung OoMarket and continue to Shwezigon Pagoda. Proceed to Htilominlo Temple, which comprises of beautiful murals and frescoes of Buddhist depictions. Later, discover Thatbyinnyu Temple and Ananda Temple.
In the afternoon, head for Manuha Temple, Nanpaya Temple, GuByaukgyi Temple and Dhammayangyi Temple. Later on, watch the sunset at one of the viewing mounds.

Day 10: Bagan
Take today as a free day to enjoy relaxing on your own.

Day 11: Bagan - Yangon
Take a tour to Minnanthu Village known for the production of sesame and peanut oil. Continue to discover Payathonzu Temple, LemyenthaTemple and Nandamannya Pahto Temple. The day ends with a visit to Kyat Kan Monastery which is an underground cave monastery and an ideal place for meditation. In the afternoon, fly to Yangon.
Optional: Ride a hot air balloon to have a bird's eye view of Bagan's ancient kingdom on the plain in the morning. (Seasonal activity from October through next March at your own expense)

Day 12: Departure
Before leaving for the airport to take your flight, you are highly recommended to spend a few hours wandering around the Bogyoke Aung San Market (closed on Mondays and Public Holidays). There are a number of stores selling local shoppers, medicine, foodstuffs, garments and foreign goods. Say goodbye to Myanmar and fly home after the free exploration.
