Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival - Kuala Lumpur

  As you arrive in the vibrant Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, settle into your comfortable hotel and enjoy some leisure time to recover from your long-haul flight.

  Your journey officially begins with an important welcome dinner at 6 pm, where you'll meet fellow travelers, receive a trip briefing from your guide and get your first taste of local Malay food.

• Day 2: Kuala Lumpur, Half-day Guided City Tour

  After breakfast at the hotel, acquaint yourself with the sights and scents of Kuala Lumpur on a half-day guided city tour. You will admire the remarkable Islamic-style King's Palace (commonly known as Masjid Negara), pay an informative visit to National Museum, and delve into the country's recent history while strolling around National Monument and Independence Square. Besides, stop at the Moorish-inspired railway station and the mighty Petronas Twin Towers for photo shooting.

  After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer back to your hotel. The rest of today is free to relax or explore at your own leisure.

• Day 3: Kuala Lumpur - Malacca

  Today, travel onward by a 2.5-hour drive to the UNESCO-recognised port city of Malacca, with an intriguing mix of diverse cultures. Your guide will lead you to discover the colonial architectures that come from the Portuguese, Dutch and British influence, including St Peter's Church, Porta De Santiago (A Famosa), the ruins of St Paul's Church, and the Dutch Administration office. Next, walk across the river to visit the sacred Cheng Hoon Teng Temple within the lively Chinatown. You are then free to roam the buzzing Jonker Street and sample kinds of Malaysian cuisine for your lunch.

  After the tour, check into a local hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

• Day 4: Malacca - Kuala Lumpur - Penang

  You will have a free morning before taking a 2-hour transfer back to Kuala Lumpur airport, followed by a 1-hour brief flight to coastal Penang.

  Upon your arrival, meet your new guide at the airport for the transfer to your hotel. The remainder of today is free to relax or explore in your preferred way. You may like to glance over the UNESCO-protected George Town, where colonial buildings, mosques, temples, Chinese shophouses, and Hawker stalls line atmospheric streets. Don't forget to feast on local culinary delights tonight.

• Day 5: Penang

  Today will commence with a morning visit to the century-old Chowrasta Wet Market, bustling with stalls of fresh produce and spices. You will then wander around the vibrant districts of Chinatown and Little India for an immersive dose of Penang's rich cultural diversity. At a flea market, mingle with the locals to shop around and haggle for the best prices.

  After lunch at a local restaurant, head over to the Buddhist temple of Kek Lok Si, well-known for its striking seven-tier Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas. End the exciting day with a funicular train ride up to the top of Penang Hill, where you will enjoy the cool mountain air, lush green landscape, and fantastic views over Penang Island.

  Finally, return to your hotel, with the rest of the day to relax.

• Day 6: Penang - Langkawi

  Enjoy some leisure time this morning until your driver arrives to take you to the airport. From here, you will fly up to the remarkably laidback and unspoiled Langkawi, where you will round off your trip by the beach. The 99 tropical islands of this archipelago are abundant with white sandy beaches, gorgeous waterfalls, ancient rainforests and varied wildlife.

  Upon landing, you will be collected from the airport and then transferred to your resort. In the following three leisure days, there are ample opportunities to relax, indulge and explore your beautiful surroundings.
