Day 1: Arrival, Vientiane
After arriving at Vientiane Wattay International Airport, you will meet the local guide. The following transfer is to your hotel and check-in. Enjoy the leisure time of the rest day on your own.

Day 2: Vientiane
Have breakfast at the hotel, and then head for the oldest temple in Vientiane called Wat Sisaket with so many Buddha statues in various styles, shapes and sizes. You can see young and old monks around the place studying, sweeping and carrying out their daily chores. Proceed to the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo noted for Emerald Buddha statues, with a short stop at Patuxay Monument to take some photos. Its shape is similar to the Arch of Triumph France and known as the symbol of victory in the war. Continue the trip to That Luang Stupa, a representative sign of Laos. Enjoy wandering around after returning to hotel.

Day 3: Vientiane - Luang Prabang
Fly to Luang Prabang in the morning. Have a short rest before going to Royal Palace Museum to learn about Laos and its unique history. Head to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong which represents classical Laotian architecture. Later, continue on to Wat Visoun, Luang Prabang's oldest temple and once was home to the Prabang Buddhas. Followed is Wat Aham with stone stupas and a prayer hall decorated with colorful muralsand, and next spot is Wat Mai with gold Buddha statues and wood carvings. Climb up to the top of Mount Phousi where you can have a full view of the city. Try some vegetarian food at the lively night market and catch up with the style of authentic local life.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Luang Prabang
It is worth getting up early to observe the morning alms giving ritual starting at 5:30am. The guide will take you to find a quiet street to avoid tourists and witness the locals giving food to the monks from a respectful distance. After that, wander at the Phousi Morning Market to feel the local ambience.
Enjoy a cruise upstream along the Mekong River and appreciate the peaceful countryside scenery on both sides. On the way, make a stop at Ban Xang Hai Village known as "the Whiskey Village" to taste local brew and browse the delicate textiles made by the villagers. Later, you will arrive at Pak Ou Cave which is filled with thousands of Buddha statues, ranging in size, quality, and material. On the way back to Luang Prabang, visit Ban Xangkhong Village noted for jute weaving and paper making.

Day 5: Luang Prabang
Today, drive to the fantastic Kuang Si Waterfall. You will marvel at the naturally formed turquoise-green water pool in the forest. Swimming here will be a memorable experience. After enjoying a picnic lunch nearby the waterfall, head to the Black Hmong Ethnic Village to learn about the primitive life of the ethnic group. The rest of the day after getting back to the city is for you to relax or wander around.

Have some free time to explore the city on your own before setting off for the airport to catch your flight to next destination.
