Day 3: Luang Prabang
It's worth getting up early to attend the morning alms giving ritual from a respectful distance. Usually, it takes place at 5:30 a.m. and you can see the whole religious ceremony from this moment. Do not skip the morning market after the ritual, it is a very nice wet market displaying local produces, spices, fish, meat, etc. Take a visit to Ban Ouay Village to feel the living environment of Lao minority groups.
Later, drive to the stunning Khouang Si Waterfalls, a lovely place to enjoy the awesome view and you may have a swim for a really nice experience. Transfer to Ban Xang Khong Village and catch the sunset at Wat Phabath, which is thought as an important place of pilgrimage because the shrine contains a huge "foot print" of Lord Buddha.
