Day 1: Arrival, Luang Prabang
On your arrival, meet your guide and be taken to the hotel. After a short rest, venture out for Mt. Phousi where you can have a full view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. Going down the hill for an exploration at the night market to try some famous local food.

Day 2: Luang Prabang
Get up early to be part of the morning alms giving ritual starting from 5:30 am. It is highly recommended to witness the ceremony from a respectful distance and you will have a better understanding of local people's piety to their religious belief. After breakfast, proceed to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham and Wat Mai for a temple hopping tour. Later, tour the Royal Palace Museum, a good place to learn about Laos and its unique history.
After lunch, visit Ban Na Ouane Village to know about Lao minority groups. Later, get to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls, which is a lovely place to enjoy the awesome view and you may have a swim in the turquoise water. Return to catch the sunset at Wat Phabath, which is considered as an important place of pilgrimage because the shrine contains a huge "foot print" of Lord Buddha.

Day 3: Mekong River Cruise
Today, take a cruise upstream along the Mekong River to enjoy the peaceful countryside scenery on both sides. Stop to pay a visit to Ban Xang Hai Village famous for whisky, and Ban Xang Khong Village specializing in manufacturing and selling products made from silk and Saa Paper for many years. You will then reach Pak Ou Caves that have a long history dating back to thousands of years ago. You can see thousands of statues of the Buddha inside ranging in size, quality and material. After the tour, drive back to Luang Prabang and you will have some free time to explore the city on your own.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Xieng Khouang
Today, take a drive to Xieng Khouang, during which you can stop at any beautiful place or visit any hill tribal village at wish.
You will marvel at the Plain of Jars located on the plain next. Firstly, come to the Plain of Jars Site 1 located 8km southwest of Phonsavanh, the provincial capital of Xieng Khouang Province. Site 1 was of military strategic importance during the second Indochina War and it is the largest and most popular site of the three. There is also a small limestone cave here where archaeologists have previously found human remains inside. Moreover, you can see how the locals live, see some rice paddy fields and lots of cows around the site.

Day 5: Plain of Jars Sites
This morning, visit the Central Market to feel the local lifestyle. Later, leave for the UXO MAG Exhibition Room and Plain of Jars Site 2, which contains 93 jars spreading across two adjacent hills. Each site has its setting and difference. Site 2 is easily accessible on a small hill with good views of the surrounding area. Next, stop at villages of Tai Dam people and Lao Leum people en route to Site 3 after a short trek. Site 3 is located around 10km further south of Site 2. The main group with some 150 jars is situated on top of a scenic hill which offers great views of the surrounding plain and rice paddies. After lunch, continue the trip to the old capital of Muang Khoun and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people.

Day 6: Xieng Khouang - Vientiane
Fly to Vientiane and transfer to your hotel. Start a visit to the major sights in the capital of Laos. Wat Sisaket is the oldest wat in Vientiane with a lot of Buddha statues in different styles, shapes and sizes. Proceed to the former royal temple, Wat Prakeo, noted for Emerald Buddha statues. Make a short stop at Patuxay Monument to take some photos, which is known as Vientiane's Arc de Triumph. Continue the tour to That Luang Stupa, also called Pha That Luang as a representative sign of Laos.

Day 7: Vientiane - Pakse
Fly to Pakse in the early morning. Head for Tateng Village and make a stopover to observe the locals making tea and coffee on the way. Have a try of each before continuing the exploration to Boloven Plateau Area. Later, arrive at Tad Lo Waterfall located in Saravanh Province. Enjoy the beautiful view and take a dip in the waters. Go on touring the villages of Alak, Nge, Katu ethnic minority groups. Return to the town in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Pakse - Khong Island
After breakfast, you will visit the historical and cultural pre-Angkorian Ruins of Wat Phu which is situated up the mountain, offering a fantastic view of the Mekong River. There is still altar for worshipping in such Khmer temples. Later, go on the trip to 4,000 Islands Region and Khong Island, which is surely the best island for relaxing and enjoying the nature there.

Day 9: Khong Island - Pakse
In the morning, have a sightseeing tour of the surrounding countryside. Later, board on a long trail boat sailing around Khong Island area and pay a visit to Liphi Waterfall, which is also known as Devil Corridor. Drive further south towards to Khone Falls from the mainland at Ban Nakasang, a very spectacular waterfall on the Mekong. Return to Pakse in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Departure
Enjoy some leisure time on your own before transferring to the airport to catch the flight for home or other destination.
