Day 1: Arrival, Amman
Welcome to Amman! Upon arrival, Odyssey representative will greet you and help you accelerate all the procedures. After claiming your luggage, you will be driven to check in the hotel.
Day 2: Amman Ancient Ruins Exploration
Start with Umm Qais (about 2 hours' drive) in the hills above the beautiful Jordan Valley, where you can take in breathtaking views of the Sea of Galilee, Israel and the Golan Heights, Syria. Next comes Jerash, the best preserved Roman city in the world. Stroll through the spectacular forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis like a walk into the past. After that, visit the fantastic and historical Ajloun Castle with 360 degree impressive views.
Day 3: Amman - Petra
Today, you'll firstly discover Madaba best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. The famous Mosaic Map with two million pieces of vividly colored local stone beautifully covers the floor of the Church of St. George. After that, drive up to the Biblical Mt. Nebo, and enjoy the stunning views of the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and Jericho on a clear day like what Moses did. Drop by a Jordanian handicrafts shop, then drive along the King's Highway with spellbinding scenery, and stop at the enormous Kerak Castle strategically perched high above the former trade route. Proceed to Petra by car for overnight.
Day 4: Petra - Amman
Explore Petra the ancient capital of the Nabataean Arabs by yourself after about 2 hours guided tour. This rose-red city lies half-hidden in the wind-blown landscape over thousands of years and now becomes one of the world's most treasured UNESCO heritage sites. The curved intricate tombs, huge theaters, water control system and other unique structures will also offer you eye - opening experience as well as the Siq and Al Khazneh (the Treasury). In the afternoon, you'll be driven back to Amman (about 3.5 hours) for overnight.
Day 5: Amman, Departure
Enjoy time on your own pace before being escorted to airport for the flight to your next destination.
