Beijing & Mongolia Tour

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival, Beijing

  Upon your arrival at the Beijing airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover from jet lag.

• Day 2: Beijing City Tour

  On this day you will visit Tiananmen Square and the magnificent Forbidden City. Later in the afternoon, you will experience hutongs tour by rickshaw and visit the Longing Pearl Store.

• Day 3: Beijing, the Great Wall

  After breakfast, you will drive to Mutianyu to explore the amazing Great Wall (Mutianyu section, round-trip cable car included), one of the eight wonders in the world and then visit the Changling Tomb.

• Day 4: Beijing - Ulaanbaatar

  Today you will fly to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar.

• Day 5: Ulaanbaatar City Tour

  Your today's tour starts from Gandan Monastery, the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia. Continue to explore the National History Museum and Chinggis Square, where you will see the Parliament House, National Opera and City Hall. Later, climb up to the Zaisan Hill to get a great view of the city. Enjoy traditional dancing and khoomii (Mongolian throat singing) this evening.

• Day 6: Ulaanbaatar - Hustai National Park

  Travel to Hustai National Park in the morning (about 2-3 hours' drive) to run into the Przewalski wild horses, reintroduced back into the wild in their native grassland. Continue to visit the local information center learning about the history of the last pure wild horses and the history of the area. You have a chance to go horse riding in the evening. Overnight in a ger camp.

  • Hustai Nature Reserve

• Day 7: Hustai National Park - Terelj National Park

  In the morning, we will drive to Terelj National Park (about 1-2 hours' drive), one of the most visited sites near Ulaanbaatar. Terelj is located in the tranquil valley of the granite mountains and the Terelj river. After check in the ger camp, you will then visit the Turtle Rock and the Temple of Meditation and hiking around. Overnight in ger camp.

• Day 8: Terelj National Park - Ulaanbaatar City Tour

  Drive back to Ulaanbaatar (about 1-2 hours' drive) this morning. After lunch, visit the Bogd Khan Palace Museum and climb up to the Zaisan Hill, which offers great views of the city.

• Day 9: Ulaanbaatar, Departure

  After breakfast, be transferred to the airport for onward flight back home.
